A basic understanding of systematics and how scientific work in the field of taxonomy (= the description and classification of newly discovered species) works.
first-hand report from a taxonomic researcher, how to recognize and identify species using a dichotomous picture key
Introducing the three steps of the scientific method (observation, hypothesis, experiment)
Secondary Level II: Working out own research questions and knowing to use them to get to a scientifically sound result

A Project spanning about 30 lesson units focusing on biology covers Modules 1-5 and can be implemented connecting it to Math, Computer Science, Art, Geography, German, English The final program will be planned together with teachers and customized to the specific requirements of the school.

An interactive lecture (3 lesson units) covers modules 1 and 4: Introduction to Ants & Ant Picnic Project.. Every additional module requires at least one additional lesson unit.
